We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Behaviour Therapist to join our growing team in the Hamilton area.
Our ideal candidate is a professional with strong experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and a proven ability to support individuals with complex needs in a safe and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement skill acquisition programs under supervision and direction of the RBA
- Implement behaviour reduction treatment plans with fidelity under the supervision of the RBA
- Enter data and update graphs
- Describe behaviour and environment in observable and measurable terms
- Communicate effectively with and actively seek clinical direction from the RBA
- Document and report on the supported individual’s developmental progress in an objective, accurate, and timely manner
- Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, and other team members
- Travel to client locations within the Greater Hamilton Region (up to 30 minutes of paid travel)
Job Type: Part-Time Permanent (20 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday to Friday – Schedules are consistent days and times each week
Compensation: $24- $28 an hour
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of direct experience implementing ABA-based interventions
- Demonstrated experience and comfort working with individuals with complex needs (e.g., aggression, self-injury, property destruction) is required
- College diploma or University degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Child and Youth Worker, ECE) is strongly preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle for travel between client homes
- Must be able to provide a current and clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently
